PARTICK THISTLE V CELTIC - PREVIEW

Reidzo's back.

After the excitement of Tuesday it's back to the grind of the SPFL and a visit to beautiful Maryhill to take on Partick Thistle for the first time this season.

You've got to think that Brendan Rodgers will make changes for this game as it comes only three days after a tough champions league encounter. With James Forrest set to miss out with a hamstring problem and Scott Sinclair not back until next week this seems the ideal match to reintroduce Gary Mackay-Steven to the side.

Mackay-Steven firmly fits into the category of players whose Celtic careers can be rejuvenated by Brendan Rodgers, which has already happened with the likes of Stuart Armstrong and Scott Brown, and what with Celtic's schedule in December being so frequent then now is the ideal time for GMS to have a run in the team.

Leigh Griffiths could also come in for a rare start, with Moussa Dembele perhaps in need for a rest, but I doubt that Kolo Toure will be brought back into the team after his poor performance against Motherwell, so the partnership of Simunovic and Sviatchenko should continue.

Could forgotten men Kris Commons and Nadir Ciftci perhaps feature on the bench? Unlikely, but it would be good to see Commons back in the hoops at least once before he leaves the club.

This could be a tough game against Glasgow's second biggest club - LOL - who will be out to put on a good performance but Celtic should have have enough quality to win by a couple of goals.

Shoot Prediction: Partick Thistle 1 Celtic 3
